Position: Bartender

Department: Post Home Association

Rate: $7.25/hr

 

We are seeking candidates for immediate hire as part-time bartenders to fill evening and weekend shifts.

Job Summary:

To achieve customer satisfaction pertaining to bar and food service.

​

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

• Greet customers as they enter the establishment and verify membership status.

• Take beverage and food orders from members and their guests.

• Ensure timely delivery and presentation of food and beverages to members and their guests.

• Use cash register and accurately count change.

• Keep inventory slots stocked and ready at all times during and after shift.

• Promote responsible alcohol management practices.

Other Duties & Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

• Serve guest in a timely manner and encourage repeat patronage.

• Timely filing of all required reports and paperwork.

• Promote events and other activities of the Post.

• Encourage guests to join as members according to eligibility.

• Perform all other duties as required.

Knowledge, Skill, & Abilities

• High School Graduate or equivalent.

• Basic computer knowledge.

• Ability to serve alcoholic beverages - MUST BE 18 YEARS OF AGE

• Ability to work effectively with all personality types.

• Good verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions independently.

• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations correctly.

• Ability to work weekends, holidays, afternoons and nights.

• Ability to perform light physical tasks, exerting up to 25lbs of force on a frequent basis, and up to 75lbs on an occasional basis.

• Ability to perform such activities as grasping, lifting, reaching, crouching, walking, sitting, and carrying.

• Ability to become RAMP and ServSafe trained and certified within 30 days of employment.
